The Brief For first-time account openers, the financial services world can feel intimidating. The goal was social media copywriting that replaced anxiety with excitement and made the first step feel easy.

The Strategy Most financial services copy makes intimidation worse by leading with jargon and fine print. As the freelance copywriter on this campaign, I made a deliberate creative choice to go warm and conversational — acknowledging the nervousness implicitly while making the action feel small and manageable. Good content strategy sometimes means knowing when to get out of the way. A welcome mat, not a lecture.
